The 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup took place in Brazil, matching top football teams from around the globe. The event was staged by FIFA, the international football federation, in the host country for the following year’s World Cup. The Confederations Cup brings together the world’s top eight teams, one from each of FIFA’s six geographical confederations, plus the host nation and reigning world champions. Each match was broadcast live to a global audience.

The performance of the new-media stage play “The End of Love Generation" recently won great acclaim in Beijing, China. Innovative technologies combine smooth RF performance with stellar audio quality
This year’s Montreux Jazz Festival welcomed various high-class artists and bands performing on 15 different stages at the same time. For the 19th year in a row, Shure was selected as the Official Technical Partner for Microphones and Wireless Systems. In total, over 1400 Shure products were used, including 20 PSM®1000 personal monitor systems, 50 channels of UHF-R®, and 16 channels of Axient® wireless. Throughout the festival, the Axient Wireless System was used on the main stage in the Auditorium Stravinski to ensure stable RF transmission while providing reliable frequency management in an extremely demanding environment. All 16 channels of Axient were also used for the “Freak Out Party” on July 13, where Chic, Mark Ronson, Groove Armada, The Tavares, and Ultra Naté performed, amongst others.
